About Puckwell
We sell one thing: bottomless portafilters, in four fits, for home espresso machines.
Puckwell exists because of a specific frustration. Home espresso machines are sold with a portafilter that hides everything the coffee does, and the accessory market answers with parts described by a diameter that does not, on its own, tell you whether they will fit your machine. Someone measures a basket, reads 51 mm, orders a 51 mm portafilter and receives one with the wrong number of lugs.
Sized by machine, not by millimeter
The range is organized by machine. Four fits, each listed against the model numbers printed on the machines themselves — BES 870 through 881, Dedica EC680 and EC685, Stilosa EC260, HiBREW H7 and H10a. If your model is on the table, the portafilter locks in. If it is not, send us the model number before you order and we will tell you whether one of the four fits matches.
What comes in the box
A stainless steel head with an open base, a handle in turned hardwood or moulded black with a chrome collar and end cap, and a 2-cup non-pressurized filter basket — the type a bottomless portafilter needs. Rosewood, beech and Chacate Preto handles are offered on the 51 and 54 mm fits; the 58 mm comes in rosewood and beech. Wood is a natural material, so grain and shade vary from one handle to the next.
