About Puckwell
We make one thing: bottomless portafilters, in four fits, for home espresso machines.
Puckwell exists because of a specific frustration. Home espresso machines are sold with a portafilter that hides everything the coffee does, and the accessory market answers with parts described by a diameter that does not, on its own, tell you whether they will fit your machine. Someone measures a basket, reads 51 mm, orders a 51 mm portafilter and receives one with the wrong number of lugs.
How the fit table was built
So the range is organized the way people actually shop for it: by machine. Four fits, each listed against the model numbers printed on the machines themselves — BES 870 through 881, Dedica EC680 and EC685, Stilosa EC260, HiBREW H7 and H10a. If your model is on the table, the portafilter locks in. If it is not, we would rather check the number for you than sell you something that has to come back.
Where the numbers come from
Every model on the fit table comes from the manufacturer specification for that fitting, checked against the compatibility panels published for each part. Ratings on the site come from verified buyers across all four fits, and where a wood exists on one fit and not another we list them separately rather than sharing a name between two different timbers.
